I am a CPA and the Financial Controller at BW Manufacturing, a private-equity-backed manufacturer in West Michigan. My responsibilities span monthly close, treasury, lender and sponsor reporting, and the systems those processes depend on.

My previous experience includes PwC, BDO, the University of Michigan, and Lakeland Monroe Group. Working across those organizations gave me a broader view of finance; small-company controllership brought the responsibilities together in one role.

I follow the problem into the system.

When the business needed to move from JobBoss2 to Kinetic, I owned the migration. When the data needed a reporting layer, I built it in Power BI. When a pricing question required outside evidence, I built a tool to collect and compare it.

That work requires both perspectives: knowing what the financial question means and understanding how the underlying records, calculations, and software produce the answer.

AI extends what I can build.

I use Claude Code to help develop tools for real finance and operating questions. On this site, you can explore a pricing report and an interactive sales forecast built from the calculation code behind those tools, using entirely fictional data.

The details matter: a weak price match should not become a finding; a sales forecast should make its assumptions and uncertainty visible. The demonstrations make those decisions visible.
